Nasr Saif

An Egyptian actor born in Alexandria in 1933, he studied at the Faculty of Arts at Alexandria University. He was discovered by the late director Niazi Mostafa, who introduced him in the 1960 film *Antar Invades the Desert* (Antar Yaghzu al-Sahra). Following a series of minor film roles—mostly portraying villains—Nasr Seif became one of the most famous bit-part actors in the history of Egyptian cinema. Notable films in which he appeared include *Crime in the Quiet Neighborhood* (Jarima fi al-Hayy al-Hadi'), *The Ghoul* (Al-Ghoul), and *Hamada and Toto's Gang* (Isabat Hamada wa Toto). He passed away in 2011 at the age of 78. For a period of his life, he worked as a bill collector for the electricity company.
