Jim Piddock

James Anthony "Jim" Piddock (born 8 April 1956, Rochester, Kent, England) is an English actor, writer, producer, and author whose career spans over four decades. He earned an Honors degree in English at King's College, London, and trained at Drama Studio London. He won the Bay Area Critics' Best Actor Award (1982) for his U.S. debut in The Boy's Own Story. His film credits include Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), Independence Day (1996), Best in Show (2000), The Prestige (2006), You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010), and Kill Your Friends (2015). On television he is best known for Lost (2005, as Francis Heatherton), Family Tree (HBO/BBC, 2013, co-created with Christopher Guest), and The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020). He is also a prolific voice actor (Metal Gear Solid 3, Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, Star Trek: Lower Decks), a writer and producer (Mascots, Family Tree), and the author of the memoir Caught With My Pants Down (2022). He was married to Margaret Oberman (1991–2004) and has one daughter.

Known for
